Study 6 – 1 Thessalonians 3 – Loving Others

September 30, 2012

in 1 Thessalonians Study

Read 1 Thessalonians 3:1-5

We will find our task as a church is very clear from the context of
the Thessalonian letter.
•    We are to have the locus and the focus of our lives changed
dramatically. Where we once saw things through the eyes of
selfishness, we can now see Christ for who He truly is. And seeing Him
thus we can now become sources of ministry and love to others.

•    We are to love others in pure, meaningful, measured and responsible
ways. Loving others with all of our resources, all of our talents, all
of our gifts.

•    We are to live before the Lord with gratefulness and thanksgiving.
He found us when we were lost. He delivered us from the domain of
darkness. He has blessed us with spiritual and physical blessings. He
has given us life and love and hope. Let us live in the light of His
presence with thankfulness!
