Read 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

There is a review of the passage of 2 Thessalonians 2 primarily
because of the body of Paul’s prayer at the end. He prays as
specifically here as he does in other passages that contain his
prayers for the people of God.

Here it is;
“Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has
loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace, 17
comfort and strengthen your hearts in every good work and word.”

Given what has been said about the revelation of the man of sin and
the mystery of lawlessness, Paul wants to be sure that these believers
are secure in the fact that before all of this terror takes place
Christ comes to gather them together to be with Him. The result of all
of this is what? “…eternal comfort and good hope by grace…”
