Humility 1Peter 5:5-7

Back in chapter 3 the goal of humility was framed in our relationships both in and outside of marriage. Here in Chapter 5 the context changes a bit to being humble inside the church. 

For the leader and the follower humility is the attitude that best emulates Christ and best serves peace in the church. And the upshot is anxiety. We neither want to lead nor do we want to follow. No matter our giftedness, whether leader or follower, we are to “cast all our anxiety upon Him, for He cares for you”.
