Alvin & Laurie Thompson

We are in a “ministry of multiplication” as faculty of the Central American Theological Seminary, in Guatemala, teaching and training men and women who will be leaders in the Church in the Spanish speaking world.

We are excited that we can serve in a capacity that will impact so many.

The Central American Theological Seminary is the largest evangelical seminary in the Spanish-speaking world, with over one thousand full and part time students. The seminary programs include a lay institute, college, and graduate level degree programs (M.A., Th.M., Ph.D) as well as continuing education programs for pastors.  The current students represent 18 countries from four continents. The graduates are involved in a variety of ministries having an impact on people all over the world.

Beginning in January  2004, Alvin was given the task of developing a masters degree in theological studies that would be conducted via the Internet.  We are excited about the possibilities this program offers for students and the extent of the reach of the program.  This is currently the only program of its kind available in Spanish and we already have over a dozen students from 8 different countries who have expressed a desire to be a part of the pilot program beginning in January 2005.

John & Pam Dudeck

We have been seeking God’s next place of ministry for us, and it appears to be in Lyon, France. We will be loaned to Editions Clé (Key Publications), a French publishing ministry based in Lyon, France. Editions Clé is a joint ministry of Grace Brethren International Missions and Crossworld.

John will be doing computer programming. Check out Clé’s website for more information about all the French literature they produce. We are praying that we will be on our way by the end of May.

France is a land that has lost its spiritual heritage. 60% will say they are Catholic. But only 10% say that they attend church regularly. They are in need of evangelical French literature that can bring spiritual light and understanding.

The French-speaking world is in desperate need of spiritual food. FEEL (French Evangelical Electronic Library) is one of the projects that Editions Clé is currently undertaking. FEEL will create and distribute a French Bible study library on CD-ROM to pastors, church leaders, and missionaries in the 44 countries where French is spoken. The potential impact is enormous. There are 27 million French-speaking Christians across the globe who can benefit from this ministry.

We are excited to help this happen. But we can’t do it alone. Would you consider partnering with us so that our French-speaking brothers and sisters can be spiritually fed?

Sharon Haag

“For 35+ years now, I’ve been privileged to support Bible translation through helping missionary families meet the educational needs of their children.

After teaching in schools for missionaries’ children for 15 years and traveling and consulting for another 18, I felt God’s prompting to move to Southern California to help care for my elderly mother. Wycliffe supported that priority and set me up to be able to connect from home with missionary families. Using email and Skype I’ve been able to continue consulting with new members preparing to go overseas and with those already in ministry locations who have concerns about their children’s education and development.

I praise God for the blessing of being able to minister to my mother for this season while still being part of getting God’s Word of Life to people who’ve not yet heard it in their heart language.”
