Read Ephesians 2:1-10

Please note: Dr. Wayne Flory was our guest preacher this morning.

1944 was my first year at Westmont College. I know that seems like an awful long time ago. It was the last year that the school was in Los Angeles and, incidentally, was the last year of the Second World War.

While I was there at the school I began to work at Bullock’s Wilshire, which was just a little ways removed from where the school was at that time. I was a parking attendant. I’d help people find parking spaces and the dear little old ladies who could not park their cars get them parked properly … At any rate, it was a good time for me because I had become acquainted with some individuals who had just come out of the service and had become involved with the Navigator’s group. Which was a group started in the Navy and out of that came Bible Study, Evangelism, Bible Memory work, etc.

So I took on the Bible Memory work. And I had little memory cards that I took around and as I observed to make sure no one was stealing anything from these cars I memorized these Scripture verses. Thank God for that because they have stayed with me all these years. The passage we are going to look at this morning involves one of those passages which I memorized at that time.
