Read 1 Timothy1:1-2

The trouble had already started for the fledgling Christian church. There were “wolves in sheep’s clothing” who had sneaked into the church and were engaged in the activity of “seeking disciples for themselves”.
Here in the beginning words of this letter of Paul, he asserts his authority by naming the One who gave him the authority to become an apostle “out of season”. If then Christ was the One who appointed Paul to his Apostleship, who were these interlopers who were making “confident assertions” about things they knew nothing about?
Come along as we together learn about recognizing what the true Gospel is all about.
