Resurrection Sunday – John 20

in Resurrection Sunday

As you read the story of the resurrection of Jesus you are confronted with the fact that not even His disciples could believe what they were seeing with their own eyes! Such doubt and wonder and fear overwhelmed them all at the same time. But at last they believed. As the Apostle John writes some time later he encourages our faith with this observation;
1 John 1:1-4
“What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life— and the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us— what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. These things we write, so that our joy may be made complete.” (NASB)

If you want your joy to be complete, if you want to  realize again the great lengths God has gone to secure your presence with Him, then read John 20 once again and be blessed by the true story of the resurrection of Jesus.
